Choosing a breed

There are a very large number of rabbit breeds - each with their own specific qualities. For example, Netherland Dwarf rabbits are the smallest breed reaching only one to three pounds when fully grown, while the Flemish Giant rabbit can reach a staggering 20 pounds when fully grown.

There are many, many breeds in between and you must decide what you and your family are looking for in a pet rabbit. It is nearly impossible to tell what a rabbit's personality will be like by using breed alone - every rabbit, no matter the breed, is very individual.
